Supporting and engaging our community

BELOVED COMPASSION NETWORK
BELOVED Compassion Network emanates from BELOVED’s commitment to practicing relentless compassion and sets out to encourage the practice of compassion in the radical way of Jesus.  Specifically speaking, BCN introduces the Compassion Practice to individuals, groups, organizations, and congregations.   As a ministry of the Pacific Southwest Region of the Christian Church-Disciples of Christ, BCN provides certified Compassion Practice leadership and materials for retreats and workshops across the region at little to no cost to the group. Joining together, BCN is a growing network of “compassionaries”!

CENTER FOR ENGAGED COMPASSION
The Center for Engaged Compassion offers unique processes of “engaged compassion” that transform the desire to help others into practical actions that change the world for good. The Center teaches concrete, learnable practices, skills, and perspectives that give individuals, groups, communities, organizations, religious congregations, and governments the capabilities and sensibilities for creating genuine peace, healing, reconciliation, and collaboration through the formation of engaged compassion.

BELOVED partners with CEC in its mission by offering Compassion Practice programs, hosting “Meet the Author” events and providing copies of related books at reduced rates. BELOVED also looks forward to becoming a center for the CEC Facilitator-in-Training program.

POWAY INTERFAITH TEAM
The members of the Poway Interfaith Team (POINT) are from diverse faith traditions within and outside Poway. POINT is committed to
consort with the followers of all religions in a spirit of friendliness and fellowship. To increase community awareness and understanding of different faith traditions. To stand with all faiths for human rights and justice and continue to seek new and unique ways to educate and serve the community. We believe diverse faith traditions in our communities add to the richness of life. When we meet and learn more about those who have faith traditions other than our own, we find many more similarities than differences. For example, every faith tradition’s holy books teach something similar to “love your neighbor as yourself.” We support a culture of interfaith dialogue and Inter-Religious cooperation as a way of life in all communities throughout the San Diego region.

COMPASSIONATE SAN DIEGO
We are a developing grassroots movement united to promote, strengthen, and celebrate compassionate action in San Diego County and its Communities.
We affirm and aim to bring to life the principles articulated in the Charter for Compassion document and support the work of the international Charter for Compassion and Compassionate California.

DISCIPLES MISSION FUND
Disciples Mission Fund is the common fund of the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ). Disciples Mission Fund supports 72 ministries of wholeness as close as local congregations and reaching around the globe. As a Global Mission church, we understand that equipping congregations for mission includes learning from, learning with and offering support to our partners beyond the borders of the United States and Canada.

WEEK OF COMPASSION
Week of Compassion works through a remarkable network of church partner organizations and partnerships that insure that our response to humanitarian needs in the world is efficient, effective and faithful. Through these partnerships, Disciples are able to join a tapestry of caring that brings help and hope to hurting people in every corner of the world.
