The BELOVED Way community holds compassion as its core value. But what does that look like during Advent? How can we use the four weeks leading up to Christmas to embody compassion in concrete ways beyond the trees and tinsel, gifts and galas that so often define the season?
This Advent, join BELOVED Way as we courageously create, renew, and deepen our connectedness with God, ourselves, those we love, and the world around us. Each time we gather, scripture, contemplative practice and greeting card writing will help us make “compassionate connections” this Holy-Day Season in concrete ways.

BELOVED Way will be sharing the Advent journey with a new daily devotional “Dare to Connect: Advent as Adventure.”
The booklet features stories from members of our sister Disciples of Christ congregation, Connection Christian Church (DOC), in Odessa, Texas. Each day, from November 30 through December 25, we will be invited to “Read” a short scripture, “Reflect” on a story from CCC (DOC), “Respond” by considering a concrete action, “Risk” by offering a brief prayer, and “Relate” by sharing the Good News.
